Haemodialysis and renal clinic care close to home since 2022, so patients no longer travel to Nairobi for treatment.

Our renal unit became operational in 2022 to serve the growing number of people in Thika and surrounding counties living with kidney disease. Patients receive regular haemodialysis sessions and renal clinic follow-up without the exhausting journey to Nairobi.

The unit works with nutrition, medical and laboratory services to support patients' overall health.

What we offer

  • Maintenance haemodialysis sessions
  • Renal clinic and physician review
  • Management of hypertension and diabetes in kidney disease
  • Renal nutrition counselling
  • Laboratory monitoring
  • SHA-covered dialysis for eligible patients

How to access this service

New patients are enrolled after a physician review. Call the renal unit to book a session or transfer your dialysis to Mary Help.
